Hello! I’m R. Vic Way. Join me on my journey to become a published author. For decades now I’ve been told I should give up my day job and become a writer. Well, I finally did. I’ve been writing poetry since 1985 and have never attempted to publish a single word. Until now. I’ve got to tell you I’m a little more than nervous. Those self doubts that writers seem to have saying I’m ‘not really a writer. I mean I write but I’m not really good enough to publish.’ All those self doubts that writers frequently battle have been tied up and gagged in the back room and its’ full steam ahead. I’ll share with you my journey, discovered writers resources, tools I find helpful along the way, struggles, writers conferences I attend, and anything I find useful. My entire writing journey to get published. I am currently working on two children’s picture books ‘The Bright Blue Ball’, and ‘All I Needed’. The Bright Blue Ball is currently out to beta readers as I publish this web site. ‘All That I Needed’ is a limerick I wrote in 1986 I’ll publish as my second children’s picture book. I am also compiling my completed poetry manuscripts for publication. If you’r a new writer struggling to become published or just want to see what this journey entails, feel free to follow along and learn from my mistakes and triumphs. Now it’s time to write.
